Topic: Secrets of Self Mastery from the Vedas

Modern life provides us an unparalleled ability to control many aspects of our lives. Science and technology gives us the ability to live longer, communicate faster, have more efficient lifestyles, and so on. But ultimately these are all at an external level of experience. We are now learning that there is a deeper level of personal transformation. Beyond mastery of the external world we ultimately need self-mastery. Without inner development and self-mastery all of our seeming mastery of the external environment rings hollow. Leading thinkers are now realizing that understanding self-mastery is an essential part of our human development. Throughout the ages the Vedic texts of India have been a source of profound wisdom and a guidebook for self-mastery. This week we will explore the sacred Vedas to understand how its wisdom can be used in our quest for personal transformation and self-mastery.
